Dr WINSTON NORONHA is Professor of Surgery and Medical Superintendent at Meenakshi General Hospital and Meenakshi Dental College, Chennai. He works as a Consultant Surgeon at Murugan, Rotary, GLB, Apollo and VS Hospitals Chennai. He is member of ASI, IMA, ISTAC, ex-President of IATCC, Sectional Editor of Indian Journal of Surgery, Course Director of ATLS India and ATLS Instructor at Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pondicherry, Mangalore, Vellore, Kochi and Kottayam. He is Treasurer of Chennai City Chapter of ASI, Executive Committee Member of ACRSI, ex President of IATCC He was KINI Memorial Orator at ASICON 2013, Ahmedabad. He has authored a Chapter on Abdominal Compartment Syndrome- in Advances in Surgery and Chapter on Colorectal Injuries and Rectal Foreign Bodies in the ACRSI Textbook of Surgery. His other chapters in Textbooks include Chapter on Spine Injuries in Textbook of Emergencies in Medicine ( Ed Devendra Richchariya) and Chapters on Liver trauma, Splenic Trauma, Renal Injuries and Colonic Injuries. PERSONAL: Dr Winston is married to Dr Veena a Radiologist at VRR scan and Sankara Nethralaya. Son Adrian is doing DM Infectious Disease at CMC Vellore and daughter in law Krithiga works in Dermatology Dept at CMC Vellore. One grand daughter 15 months old CHARITY: Donates as part of Rotary and also to Fees of poor School and College children, CRY, Akshaya Patra, Habitat for Humanity etc
